With the Intel® Cougar Point chipset built in, the X9SCM/X9SCL series motherboard proffers substantial enhancement in system performance and storage capability for entry-level to mid-range servers in a sleek and compact package.
- The X9SCL-F is equipped with several exceptional features, including the ability to recover from AC power loss
- The board has an onboard System Hardware Monitoring chip that supports PC health monitoring.
- The BIOS checks the RPM status of the cooling fans. The onboard CPU and chassis fans are controlled by Thermal Management via BIOS.
- The thermal control sensor monitors the CPU temperature in real-time and turns on the thermal control fan whenever the CPU temperature exceeds a user-defined threshold.
- The ACPI specification defines a flexible and abstract hardware interface that provides a standard way to integrate power management features throughout a PC system, including its hardware, operating system, and application software.
